Here are some photos from the amazing Grassi Lakes, located beside Canmore, Alberta. Just outside the Banff National Park gates. Easily accessible which makes for a great half-day activity. Grassi Lakes was named after Lawrence Grassi who immigrated from Italy in the early 1900’s. He was responsible for “building” many of the trails in the area.

I love the colour changes in the water in the top picture, and the way the reflection of the trees leads the eye to the centre of the frame.
