Going for a winter hike
Today the weather finally cleared up a bit after weeks of rain and grey weather. My wife’s twin sister, her husband, and their baby has come to visit us, so I figured today would be a good day to show them the surrounding landscape.
This part of Sweden is quite flat but next to where I live there is small mountain, or perhaps a hill is a better description. Either way it gives a nice view of the lake, so we decided to hike the mountain and I really like it up there.
To be honest though it is much better in the summer, when you reach the top you can have a cold beer and the landscape is green and a bit more exciting than during winter.
Winter or summer, I think Sweden is beautiful. You had hot and traded it for cold. I'm more of an in-between girl. :)
Although without the cold, there would be no skiing and ice skating...
So there is that, plus, it is beautiful!

Merry xmas and my best xmas wishes to you and your family ! I agree that something in between can be nice. But for me it is the darkness that is a bit annoying here. On the other hand we get a lot of light during summer so it balances things :)
Oh, yes! I remember the darkness and light. But, one cannot have one without the other, so yes. It does balance it...Unless we find a holiday to go away in the middle of the darkness. :)
