Boat Adventures in the Caribbean (Photography)

So as promised my first entry is photography. A collection of moments from the recent trip in the Caribbean. I am not a professional photographer, but being an artist by nature I embrace any forms of art. Sometimes pictures speaks thousand words, sometimes a thousand words is needed to describe a picture. And sometimes the camera doesn’t do justice to the beauty of the image perceived by the eye. :)

In my case I had it all. There have been moments on this trip I dreamed to have known of ways to capture the image in front of me. Especially some moments at night in the sea..

I started my trip from the Dominic Republic, which I did not have enough time to see all unfortunately, but the very few moments I captured gives a glimpse into this big, wild and exotic country.

The following winds took our boat more north towards Bahamas. And the further we went I could see less and less human life in the horizon. Which to my soul was a greatest blessing.

The stillness and peace of the sea and the surrounding islands completely mesmerized me. And the rich blue sea water reflecting the sun filled me with infinite joy and love towards the planet we all share.

Yet not many of us have a chance to experience such a tranquillity in life. We are so busy wrapped up in our daily lives that we do not even dare to dream about visiting such places on earth. I have been no different, and this trip was my first ever experience outside a tiny European border.

Funnily enough, one of such innocent thoughts has crossed my mind few years back. As I was scrolling down through my Facebook feed, I accidently stumbled across a video showing exactly the place I was about to visit just 3 years from that day. A magical ‘’Pig Paradise’’, as I’ve named it.

And I could not but find myself in disbelief and innocent laughter this surrealistic view has caused me.

I found a peaceful tribe of wild piglets roaming freely on this small and uninhibited island.

I spent amazing time with these lovely creatures, and as the sun was reaching a horizon slowly, to my biggest surprise, all of them, as there was some unspoken agreement between them, started preparing for sleep. All in pairs, as from a romantic poster they posed to me, as the night has slowly covered us with a sky full of stars.

On my way further around the Islands I was beautifully surprised by a wild dolphin family that were spinning circles around our boat for a good three hours. Eventually we did stop to take pictures and to my biggest disbelief I managed to actually get into the water with them.

Travelling is incredible.. However traveling on the boat is the ultimate high!
