Fujifilm X-A5: Can Record 4K Video, Faster Focus Performance
Shifting the Fujifilm X-A3, which tops the line in the X-A Series, Fujifilm opens in 2018 by announcing the Fujifilm X-A5.
The same design, faster performance
It said Fujifilm, X-A5 comes with an update that focuses on performance and autofocus performance. So no wonder the design at first glance is still similar to X-A3. This camera still comes with a lightweight design, concise and optimal for selfie.
X-A5 is still not armed with X-Trans sensor technology that used other X-Series cameras on it. Like the X-A3, X-A5 is equipped with APS-C CMOS sensor with 24.2 megapixel resolution. Nevertheless, its performance is faster. The start up time of this camera is only about 0.4 seconds and the image processing is now claimed 1.5 times faster.
The ability to shoot in low light conditions is also enhanced by providing a maximum ISO setting up to ISO 12800 (can be expanded to ISO 51200). Better than X-A3 is only capable of shooting with ISO maximum ISO 6400.
Autofocus is faster with Phase Detection AF support
X-A5 more interesting because the camera in line X-A Series first equipped with autofocus technology Phase Detection. Thus the autofocus performance can now be twice as fast as compared to the X-A3.
Can record 4K
Switching to video mode, X-A5 is also the first X-A Series camera to record 4K video. Unfortunately, the ability to record 4K video is quite limited because it can only record at speeds of 15fps only with a maximum duration of up to 5 minutes.
As a complement, X-A5 can be used to record slow-motion video clips, and have a Multi Focus mode. This Multi Focus mode will accumulate 4K quality images and automatically change the DOF (Depth of Field) settings in the image.
Equipped with a flexible touch screen and mic port
Like X-A3, X-A5 also still brings a 3-inch touch screen that can be folded 180 upwards to ease photo selfie. Now, with additional mic port, X-A5 is now also reliable for the vlogger or Youtuber to create vlogs.
2 New filter, Battery last longer
In addition to Film simulation effects remain available, to hone creativity X-A5 also features two new filters that Fog Remove and HDR Art. Together with the announcement of the X-A5, Fujifilm also introduced the latest zoom kit lens XC 15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS Power Zoom.
This is the first Fujifilm lens that carries the electric zoom technology for the camera with X-Mount. What is interesting is this lens is very light that is only about 135 grams. When paired with the X-A5, this camera even becomes the lightest X-Series camera with a zoom kit lens.
