Mahra zamindar house

The house of the Mahra zamindar is one of the few historic buildings located in Tangail district of Bangladesh. The house of Mahera zamindar is located about 18 km from Tangail headquarters of Dhaka Division, Bangladesh. Mahera zamindar house size is about eight 8 acres. This Mahera zamindar house stands high as an invaluable sign of ancient civilization and tradition. Just before the entrance to the landlord's house, there is a huge dagger called 'Visakha Sagar' and there are 2 picturesque gates to enter the house. There are also two more ponds called Pasara Pond and Rani Pond on the back side of the main building and there are beautiful flower gardens in the garden. There are zoos and small parks along with landlords' houses.

Prior to 1890, the landlord's house was established in the city of Cordova, Spain. In the war of independence, the Pak army attacked the house of Mahera Zamindar and brutally shot dead five villagers, including the bride of the zamindar's house. Later, an initiative was taken to establish this zamindar house as a police training school.
