First snow on Alta Langa

Yesterday morning it started snowing. We woke up and find a really thin white layer all around.

I enjoyed finding snow on the flowers...

...and on my vegetable garden

Alta Langa is the Italian region that we choose for building the Cryptofarm

It literally means "High Long": in fact, it is a region of hills that are long and high (we are at 760 meter above sea level). When it snows, it snows hard here. They say it's because we are not far away from the sea (just one hour drive to the Mediterrenean) and clouds are full of water. In one night it can snow a lot.

Last night was one of those night and this morning I had to open my way in the snow to reach the bakery

It hasn't stopped yet and later, when I went to my vegetable garden, snow already reached my knees. I dig a hole in the snow and found a cabbage we ate for lunch.

Today we are not going out. The stove is burning and outside the window everything is white.

Another day in the Cryptofarm, another day to enjoy living in the countryside and in the long, high hills of "Alta Langa" - I like to say "my Highlands".
