Stromboli is an active volcano/island/village that belongs to Sicily. It's really interesting to see that there are actually people living on this island that's basically just a volcano (one of the last active ones in Europe) in the middle of the sea.

Yeah, in total there are around 500 people living on that island. But it is actually surprisingly safe to live there, since most of the lava coming out is just flowing down on one side (which is uninhabited). If there is a big eruption, things are of course different.
