It was 24 hours ago that Billy Joel walked onto the stage at Madison Square Garden in NYC.

Great show, thanks to my wife who surprised me with a pair of tickets as a Christmas gift!!!

Left work a little early and took the 3:57PM train from Metropark Station to New York Penn Station and MSG is right there.

Wandered around outside for a while in the hustle and bustle of the chilly NYC evening air, had a burger and a tap beer at Seven Bistro, and then headed into MSG to see the Piano Man work his magic for two and a half hours.

Special guest performances by Felix Cavaliere and Gene Cornish of the Rascals and also John Cougar Mellencamp who performed Authority Song.

The only minor disappointment was Joel's "fielder's choice" as he calls it where the audience voted via sound-pressure levels to hear Vienna instead of Summer Highland Falls which is my favorite Billy Joel song.

All in all, a great concert and a great evening!
