🐟 FISHING AT SEBASTIAN INLET STATE PARK🐟
This past weekend my wife and I abandoned the cold and rainy weather of Central New Jersey for the warm sunshine of Florida.
We flew from Philadelphia International Airport to Orlando International Airport, rented a car, and drove about an hour and a half to Sebastian, Florida.
Yesterday, on our final day in Sebastian, we drove over to Sebastian Inlet State Park just to walk around and enjoy the views of the Atlantic Ocean and the man-made Sebastian Inlet which serves to connect the Ocean to the Indian River Lagoon.
Temps were in the low 80s℉, but it was extremely windy! We later learned about all the tornados, thunderstorms, and nor-easters that were to subsequently wreak havoc on our return flight back to NJ. Our 8:30PM EST flight yesterday was successively delayed and didn't take off from Orlando until almost 1:00 AM. We were back at our house in NJ just before 5:00 AM. It was a very long and exhausting flight home, to say the least.
Below are some images I captured of some of the people that were fishing at the inlet and along the stretch of the Atlantic Ocean adjacent to the inlet.

Love the pics...we definitely had a rough couple of days down here in Florida! Glad you the warmth while you were here cause it is crazy cold now, lol!
Yeah, by late yesterday afternoon, the weather went seriously downhill. We were anticipating that our flight home would be canceled. But our plane was diverted to Tampa to refuel and eventually pulled into the gate around midnight. From watching the news today, it looks like most of the East Coast is having some kind of crazy weather event! But we had great weather during the entire long weekend in FLA.
Yeah, we found ourselves huddled in the closet with tornado warnings all around us at about 7pm last night, lol! A little too reminiscent of living in the midwest!! It really has been crazy weather all over lately!!
Driving from Sebastian to Orlando Airport yesterday as it was getting dark was pretty scary! It was some of the most black, threatening clouds I'd ever seen. It looked like we were driving towards a tornado, and in a little tiny Hyundai Accent😳
Eeek!! That is very scary! Glad you made it to the airport safely!!
Great pics, and wonderful weather!
Thanks @nxtblg!
Hey, glad to :)
I want to have that experience too.
The beautiful Florida weather was a welcomed change from the New Jersey cold!!!
It looks warm and windy, for sure! Glad you got home OK. I got stuck in the San Francisco airport due to weather a few days ago, coming back from a trip. Weather can be so powerful. It's easy to forget that, when it's as nice out as your photos show!
Congratulations, beautiful images you have captured, the choice of fishing was the best, a beautiful relaxation therapy, thank you very much dear friend @ cognoscere for these beautiful gotografias
Thank you @jlufer!!!
