After a few hours of searching, the old abandoned smokeless gunpowder factory was found.

I'll be posting about this soon but, in the meantime, here are a few captures from an afternoon hike last Sunday afternoon at Bear Swamp in Howell, New Jersey.

That's a good selection of photos. I like the Bat House! What bird do you think that nesting platform is for? It doesn't seem very high, so I wouldn't think it's for an osprey or even a crow. Water sure magnifies any trail malfunction, too. I hope you were wearing some good boot! ; )
