An afternoon peek at an Irrawaddy freshwater dolphin surfacing along a beautiful stretch of Mekong River just north of Kratie, Cambodia. The World Wildlife Foundation estimates that 78-91 critically endangered Irrawaddy dolphins survive throughout the delta; the cetacean seen here belongs to an isolated population just 15-20 strong.
