Exploring Mallorca
Hi everyone! Today I´m going to show you one of my favorite spots of the island, Sa Foradada. It´s probably the best place to see how the sun goes down in Mallorca, so if you love sunsets as much as me this view point is a must.
For most visitors this cliff looks like the head of a fish. Sa Foradada means perforated in Catalan, and it received this name because of the hole in the middle of the rock that represents the eye of the fish. It´s one of the most magical places to enjoy the sunset, and the landscape of the area is just as beautiful.
Here are some tips:
-Before getting there you should visit the little town of Deià, it´s a beautiful place to take a break and its located in the same road as Sa Foradada. Also, get ready for some curves because you will have to drive thru a winding road.
-I highly recommend to be there an hour before sunset because it always gets crowded, but there is a chill out bar with great music and ambiance to sit down while you wait.
-After sunset, take your time to leave the place because, as I said, it´s always crowded and the parking is very small and tight. I think it´s worth it to just wait and keep enjoying the music than being stuck in the car for fifteen minutes.
-If you have enough time, you can go early in the afternoon and hike to the bottom of the rock, where you will have amazing views of the cliffs and the ocean.
Beautiful picture love the post I will try to visit it next time I come to the island. Can't wait to see more from this island.
