Casa Bizantina, a Philippine Heritage House (restored)

Casa Bizantina of Binondo is one of the oldest houses in the Philippines, which was built in 1890. The house was originally located in Binondo, Manila. It was rented for grade school and high school classes by the Instituto de Manila until 1919. After the World War II, it was leased to tenants but was eventually occupied by squatters. The structure was demolished in 2009. It was then relocated and rebuilt in Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, a heritage park and museum located in Bataan, Philippines.

I took this photo in 2017 when I visited the place. I’ll gladly share more photos and stories on my next blogs.

    Nice photo! This reminds me of Intramuros in Manila. I had visited several times. Love the Casa Manila. If you have photos of it, please share!
