A grasshopper on "grass" :)
This good lookin' insect has been hanging out in my Pit Boss plant (Chemdawg x Mob Boss - supposedly a sativa dominant strain although this plant is expressing a more balanced hybrid phenotype) for the last few days . I know grasshoppers are herbivorous so I probably shouldn't just let it hang out in my plants but I like the way it looks too much to kill it. I'm not sure it is actually eating the marijuana leaves anyway.

I have not been able to identify the exact species of grasshopper here - one complicating factor while identifying grasshoppers is that they grow through multiple nymphal forms, with each molt looking more and more like the adult but only the adults having wings. I can't tell if this is a grasshopper nymph or an adult short winged grasshopper (which have short forewings and fold their longer hindwings up under them).
