Sailing the Florida Keys
Story:
In 2015, we pulled our sailboat to the keys for 2 weeks over Christmas/New Years. We sailed and basked in the sunshine. My wife took this picture laying on the bow of the boat while I was sailing us along. I'm ready for that weather again.

Yes sir. Florida Bay on the north side of the keys so I'd say the average depth is 6-8ft depending on tide.

Man, that is a great shot. I have never been sailing but imagine it would be peaceful! That weather is ok, but we haven't even had a real winter yet here in Missouri. Before we know it it will be the middle of summer and melting haha
Man it has sure felt like a real winter to me, haha. I think the older I get, the more I dislike the cold and long for the warm summertime. I'll take the heat any day! Be careful about trying sailing....once that engine goes off, the wind hits the sails, and you move along in the silence....you will NEVER be the same.

I can relate! I used to go to the Keys just about every year but haven’t been back in over 2 years now! Definitely over due for another trip!
Man I love it down there. Love the food, the sailing, and the wacky culture. I realize it isn't for everyone and certainly isn't really a great place for beach lounging, but there is something about it I really enjoy.
