Nice photos! Castles are so photogenic. That one looks like it's been well taken care of and preserved.
It's part of the national trust so it's in good hands, when I was there they told me when they first took over there was a lot of issue's with damn which had ruined some of the walls but they were able to contact the company in France that had produced the original design, which amazingly was still in business and were able to order more.
