Here I am, trying to force myself to write something meaningful about this shot just to please the "critics", who claim every image should have a proper description of I don't know how many words to be even considered upvoatable (not even talking about my one image posts, SACRILEGE!!).... This is obviously a dried grass edited in black and white, something that even a 7 year old can understand. What else is there to say? Talk about the warm breeze that was blowing? About the damn bug that stung me right after I pressed the shutter button? Pleaaaase!
It's a shame that photography keeps being seen as a mere accessory for lazy writers.

I strongly disagree that photography is "a mere accessory for lazy writers." Pictures are sometimes more effective than words in conveying the actual state of affairs. For example, your picture depicts an arid state in dire need of rain for the vegetation. Figuratively, it can also portray the intellectually barren state of humanity, with most people caught up in materialistic pursuits at the expense of spiritual development.
