Macrophotography: Hemiptera
This is an insect of the Hemiptera order with the Heteroptera suborder. There are two types of identical species that have a striking red and black color like this, namely Pyrrhocoris Apterus and Corizus Hyoscyami. Based on the information I gather, these two species are totally unrelated even though they are from Heteroptera suborder.
Insects with a bright red color is very much found in our region. I remember very well when small often catch these annoying insects to compete to compare the colored red-black color. The residents of coastal cities at Banda Aceh call these insects with manok names. I have forgotten why we named it that time like that. In fact, manok in Aceh language actually refers to the mention of chicken.
Until I am an adult, these red-black glowing insects are still often encountered in coastal areas. Its existence had lost some time, after our area hit by the tsunami wave in 2004 then. But, these insects re-live and multiply in our region. And even now I've often this insect encountered to the corners of the city.[]
The truth, no matter what that insect is called, really has a beautiful coloring that you managed to capture very well with your camera. Regards!

Very nice photos, and an interesting insect. I like the first photo the best, where you can see its antennae better, and it looks as if it it is sitting at the dining table. Nicely done!
