One day ... on a small path that leads through the woods ...
... I came across this beautiful shiny beetle.
I think this is the platycerus caraboides, a smaller relative of the European stag beetle ... but I'm not sure.
as always, the photographs are made by me.
He looks like a stag beetle! But ours are much bigger with two big arms for catching preys.
