Loki is a Bull Mastiff.
I was gifted him this last August by my sister after visiting in Wisconsin.
I had recently considered giving him back to her because he and my other recently re-adopted dog Tigra were tag-teaming our goats.
And I'm not talking about wrestling here.
They were biting the legs of the goats at the same time, thereby taking the goats down to the ground. I couldn't allow that to go on so I placed two ads on Craigslist. One for Loki and one for Tigra. Tigra was adopted within just a few days of the posting. To date, no one has shown interest in Loki.
That might all be for the good since after Tigra's departure Loki has been a perfect Angel. Could it just be that Tigra was a bad influence on him? Time will tell. For now, Loki is still on his probationary period. If he continues to serve his purpose as a Livestock Guardian Dog he'll continue to have a home with us. If not, well, that will be another post for another time...

Sad fact of life on the homestead is they can't stay if they are harming or killing the live stock.
I did not know you had a bull mastiff. Still...if he can't be a good dog, he has to go. If he can guard, then he serves a purpose. Or....does dog taste good? Maybe I don't want to know.
DUDE! You don't eat mans bestfriend...at least in this part of the world. ;)
It's all meat, right? Eating preferences are purely cultural, not biological.
Still. Not gonna eat dog. Or cat.

He's doing much better after the instigator left. He's actually a lot more playful now. So, we'll see.
