The Giant Ferris Wheel at Asiatique in Bangkok

in #photography7 years ago

The Sky Wheel at Asiatique by the River in Bangkok is 60 metres high and has 42 seperate gondolas attached to it. It is in operation from 5pm to midnight every day and costs the equivalent of about $10 for a short ride. I didn't ride it due to the long line, but I did get some nice shots of it all lit up at night time. I think it looks very cool, with the lights and symmetrical patterns of the wheel.... Enjoy :)

I've heard some nice things about Asiatique, would you say it's worth a visit, or is it too much of a tourist trap type atmosphere? Nice photos!

Its definitely worth a visit. What is lacks in authenticity it makes up for by being orderly, clean and by the river.
