Blue Skies, Scorched Earth & Hot Emus in Broken Hill, Australia
Broken Hill is far, far from everything. This remote mining town can be found in Western New South Wales about 1200 kilometres inland from Sydney.
The town is favoured by many Australian artists due to the vibrant colours that you can see here. My parents are currently travelling through outback Australia with a caravan and sent me this picture from the road just outside Broken Hill.
The emus are very hardy but will still be scratching around for food, water and sahde in the 40 degrees heat.
