Fascinated by water reflections

Going daily on the canal, over time, I have found several ideal places to photograph reflections on larger water surfaces. The most important thing in creating this kind of photography is that the water is still almost motionless as well as the cloudy weather, because the clouds create that necessary dramatic composition.
The canal, regardless of the season, is almost always blown by the wind of higher or lower intensity, so only from time to time all the prerequisites for this kind of photography are made. Today was one such day, at least for a short period of days, later when I came to the same place again the conditions were completely different, a gentle wind started to disturb the water.
It is not the same to photograph a place before or after noon, the position of the sun ie. the light source changed and therefore changed the original impression from just few hours earlier.
I've photographed this place countless times before, and I always like to do it again, it's kind of my obsession with water surfaces. I spent hours, I might as well say days in observing the landscapes I regularly photograph. I regret that the canal is not much wider than it is. Where I live there is not a single hill far away, everything is infinitely flat, I often imagine that the tall trees are those distant mountain peaks that would enrich every photo in many ways. But it's just my imagination or some repressed longing for the occasional change of ambience I find myself in.

Some very nice reflections, we have a few small lakes and pingo ponds that I like to check when we have a non-windy day.
