Xi'an by night

IMG_1339.JPG

Today, after our visit to the summer palace in Beijing, we went to Xi'an by a high velocity train for the continuation of our China adventure. The distance between Beijing and Xi'an is about 1200 kilometres and it took the train 6 hours to drop us off at Xi'anbei station, which means that the average velocity of the train was about 200 km per hour. Not bad, isn't it? And the seats were comfortable and you have much more space for your legs and luggage in front of you than with an Economy Class seat in an airplane.

Our Chinese guide was already waiting for us when we arrived at the station at 08:45 pm. He led us to the comfortable bus that would bring us to our hotel. While we drove through the former capital of China I was pleased by the vibrant city with its colorful lights on the huge buildings and the busy traffic. Enjoy Xi'an by night.
