A giraffe crossing the asphalt road in the Kruger National Park in South Africa
In 2015, during a full-day safari in the Kruger National Park (South Africa) we saw this giraffe crossing our road, just before our noses! We were all excited when we saw that happening.
Here we spotted him for the first time, while he was running in the far distance.
Then he reduced his speed and we followed his movements.
He doesn't seem to be afraid of us as he was approaching in our direction.
And then - to our big surprise - it looked like as he wanted to cross our road!
Yes! He took the first big step on the road.
On the first picture you can see that he looked good around him as he crossed over. He watched the safari jeep ahead of us. Now he is almost there.
Finally he was safe across the road! By giraffe, it was nice to meet you!

Thanks! Hopefully you will be so lucky to see The Big Five there! We had a really good ranger: in only 3 hours time he managed to let us see them all five:-)
