"Heart" of Brazil
Pirenópolis - a small town near the capital of Brazil. It was founded in 1727 by Portuguese gold diggers. Till now has kept the nice colonial style.
The historical center of the city attracts a lot of tourists. A lot of couples come here for the romantic weekend from Brasilia.
In the 1980s, a half-forgotten city was inhabited by hippies, who "brought" a handicrafts into this area. Now almost every house has a shop with local souvenirs and handicrafts.
But the main attraction of the region is the waterfalls. A lot of waterfalls.
