GAZ-21, The mighty Volga
The name GAZ comes from the name of the factory " Gorky automobile factory" which was active from 1956 to 1970. It was designed with tough suspension, strong 6-cylinder engine, and it was rustproof. There were three series of GAZ-21 produced. Today, it is considered a motoring icon with fans all over the world. - source WP. I tooks these photos in a small ethno-sytle village called Kustendorff, initiated and run by the film director Kusturica, know for his movies like "Arizona Dream" and "Underground" among others.
Actually it is called "Mokra Gora" but people refer to the village as "Kustendorff"
Beautiful. There is something so cool about the design of old cars that new cars just don't capture.
