Pelindaba - "End of Story"
Penlindaba
It is a Zulu word meaning "End of story", named thus after the Nuclear facilities reactor Safari went critical on March 18, 1965.
Most of South Africa's nuclear weapons were developed, constructed and stored at the Pelindaba premises. It produces about 20 Mega Watt at full capacity.
The facility is now the home of the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation where South Africa's main nuclear research is done.
Not many people get to see the south side of the facility, so I was lucky to get this shot.
Please help an ordinary guy pave the way to living the dream with a comment, re-steem or upvote.
Great shot
Thank you
welcome:)
Very interesting and ironic. Maybe the nuclear program is the end of the story...
