Я не выполнил одно своё обещание до сих пор. Речь идёт о посещении Рускеалы. Этот рассказ начинался здесь, здесь и здесь

I have not fulfilled one promise so far. We are talking about visiting Ruskeala. This story began here, here and here.

От моего дома до Рускеалы примерно 300 километров пути. Это немного. Но ремонтные работы дорог затрудняли ход. Часто приходилось пропускать встречное движение по одной полосе. Дождь и плохая видимость были плохими помощниками. Первую остановку мы сделали в местечке Лахденпохья.
Пока мы не перекусили в одном приличном кафе, поселение выглядел примерно так. Дождь и низкие тучи не добавляли красок и веселья. Эта улица ведёт к Ладоге, но мы по ней не пошли. Даже лев немного загрустил.
Я его понимаю..

From my house to Ruskeala about 300 kilometers. That's not a lot. But road repair work made it difficult. Often had to skip oncoming traffic in one lane. Rain and poor visibility were bad helpers. We made our first stop in Lahdenpohja.
Until we had a snack in one decent cafe, the settlement looked something like this. Rain and low clouds did not add color and fun. This street leads to Ladoga, but we did not go along it. Even the lion was a little sad.

Когда мы вышли из кафе всё изменилось. Хорошая еда и отдых дают бодрость. Солнышко успело сделать свою работу. Ему помогал ветер.

When we left the cafe everything changed. Good food and relaxation give energy. The sun managed to do its job. The wind helped him.

Мы решили прогуляться. Рядом нашли красивый парк или сквер. По бокам аллеи были выставлены деревянные уличные скульптуры. Как оказалось, я был знаком с автором одной из них - Александром Матерковым. Это было приятно. Скульптур было много и они заслуживают отдельного поста. Думаю, я его сделаю

We decided to take a walk. Nearby they found a beautiful park or square. On the sides of the alley were exposed wooden street sculptures. Немного погуляв и отдохнув мы продолжили наше путешествие. Снимать на ходу машины одной рукой не очень удобно и правильно. Но некоторын снимки я всё же делал. Тучи не собирались сдаваться. Солнце сменялось дождём периодически. Но мы добрались до Рускеалы. В этот же вечер отправились на разведку в горный парк. Об этом будет следующий пост... надеюсь

Having walked a bit and rested, we continued our journey. Shooting on the go with one hand is not very convenient and correct. But I did take some pictures. The clouds were not going to give up. wooden statues - these are the heroes of Karelian folklore. There are a lot of them. About them I will do a post later.
And with the lakes in Karelia it’s very good. This is the land of lakes :)
