Girl Before Chicken: Colour Challenge - Tuesday Orange

Ornithophobia Fear Of Birds

She is terrified of birds.

She took on the challenge of holding a bird as a Brave stunt to support her Bravehearts team members when she couldn't run anymore.

The terror in her face in real.

This is the least ridiculous looking frame actually. Maybe if she lets me I will share the less flattering ones also sometime. (They would make a pretty funny animated gif).

The chick in her hands is real too.

It may seem strange.

But imagine your worst fear. Now imagine living voluntarily inside that fear landscape for a week.

That is what she did.

We went to a farm stay on a free range chicken farm, as the week was coming to a close she summons the courage to hold this little beastie.

I desaturated the greens and yellows in this to make the orange shirt pop out a bit... now that I'm looking at it I think I might have overdone it.

Your girl is a true hero. And I am in awe of the love that shines through every word that you write. My mom and dad were like that...

She is pure magic! And in her strength she will overcome this fear⭐️☺️

I thought the bird fear was a little odd until I realized that on that island you guys actually fought a war against emus and have more water birds than anywhere else in the world. This picture is both hilarious and inspiring! :)

I had never heard of the Emu Wars. I assumed it was just something stupid we say to American tourists like The killer breed of drop bear koalas.
But I just looked it up, it happened apparently, and despite having more casualties the emus won.
We are very good at slaughtering native animals. Koalas are culled and kangaroos hunted.
The tasmanian tiger, (thylacine) was the largest carnivorous marsupial. It was hunted to extinction.

The koalas may be more killer than you realize. Chlamydia is rampant among those little buggers and you can catch it by touching their urine. They urinate all over the place apparently.

Thanks friend!
You are a wealth of knowledge about the hazards of my home land. Yesterday I learned of a war in the west that we lost against emus, and today I am regretting the close encounter my whole family had at a wildlife park.
While it is a different strain of the disease to the one our species share during intimate contact, it seems you are right again.

We have enormous cockroaches too. Just thought I'd let you know, in case you were in search of good material. Perhaps you could remind me on all the diseases they spread through my kitchen when I sleep. White tail spiders is another. Bless you x

I hear you guys are surrounded by water and have a really big reef! Oh and when the world ends the "Saint" or "The Driver" will be from your island and drive a black on black car to free the wasteland! :P

Congratulations on conquering your fears! :) You're brave and you deserve all the praises there is! :)
