Danau Laut Tawar is located in the highland of Gayo, Takengon district, Central Aceh province. Gayo high land is extremely wide land as well it has an amazing landscape to enjoy for. This area is totally famous for producing coffee beans and is also well-known as one of the best coffee suppliers in the world. For instance, Starbucks’ coffee also comes from Gayo land coffee. Gayo Coffee is Arabica Coffee which is totally famous. This highland becomes one of the central coffee producers in Aceh province.

Nowadays, Gayo high land is becoming a tourist destination not only for its beautiful landscape but also for the quality of its coffee. Once many tourists visit this place for holidays so many facilities are provided to welcome and service the tourists such as a small twin boat for touring around the lake and also many camping spots provided by communities there. Moreover, what the most interesting for me is plenty of coffee cafés are situated in a long of the edge lake.
Danau Laut Tawar is offering much of sensation the beauty of the lake and being surrounded by mountains. With clear water and green mountains surrounding makes Gayo land is recommended place to take holiday. This place is a recommendation for recreation either with family or with friends.
