Sabino Canyon Hike -- Oasis in the desert ----Warning- Large spider photos, do not click if you have a fear of spiders

One of my favorite places to hike at is Sabino Canyon in Tucson Arizona, its a really unique place with flowing water and a waterfall called seven falls. Seven falls like the name implies consists of seven smaller waterfalls.

Here is a Cholla cactus or jumping cactus

The trail is nice and well thought out.

We are headed to that mountain in the distance straight ahead.

Getting closer, but its still quite a hike.

Lets stop and relax and watch the water flow.

Lots of shade down here in the bottom of the canyon.

Lets keep going, I am anxious to see those falls

Always good to stop now and then and enjoy the flowers!

Back on the trail

What the heck is that crawling on the ground

Looks like he is more worried about us

Its just a Tarantula they wont kill you but their bite will make you wish you were dead. Can you believe the males can live up to 12 years and females up to 24 years. 

Look at all those Saguaros 

Colorful lichen eating away at that rock.

What a nice grouping of cactus

We are getting much closer

Another flower, we cant just ignore it

Streams getting wider and the water seems to be flowing a bit faster.

Holy cow that's a lot of Saguaros all bunched up together!

Time for this Chollas close up

A nice pool of water to relax by

Look at that we have made it pretty far!

Oh its another flower!

Its just around the corner!

That is the bottom of the falls, can you see the large pool?

Finally we made it to seven falls in all its glory.
