Prague Metro.
The main transport that we traveled in Prague was the subway. The Prague subway consists of three branches - red, yellow and green. They intersect each other in the very center of Prague, which is very convenient. We rented an apartment on the outskirts of Prague. The subway station, which was across the road in 5 minutes on foot, was called Stříškov. To the center of Prague - the sabway station Museum is no more than 20 minutes of the road.
Here is the Stříškov subway station. I did not immediately understand what kind of structure it was. She makes an impression.
Cleanliness and tidiness.
We leave the bike here and go down to the subway station.
Special lifts are available for the disabled.
The station is spacious and bright. The passage to the path is made by the bridge from which I took this view.
Flowerbeds for plants are broken, although nothing has grown by the middle of summer.
The ticket in the Prague subway is universal - it is also suitable for traveling by trams, buses, boat crossing, cable car and commuter trains in the city. You can buy a ticket for coins in special vending machines of subway stations or in newspaper, tobacco stalls in the same place. In Prague, tickets are not valid for a certain number of trips, but for the time spent. The cheapest ticket for 30 minutes of travel costs 24 czk (about $ 1.08), a ticket for 24 hours - 110 czk ($ 5). Here such a ticket for a day is very convenient. I paid once and you can travel in all urban modes of transport, except for taxis.)))
At the bottom of the ticket, where the orange arrow is, marks the beginning of the ticket action - the date and time of the start of the first trip. The mark is placed by special terminals, which stand at the entrance to each sabway station. Free riders are caught by inspectors. And although for 3 days they have never caught us, it is better to pay the fare and not to delay the time of the trip. Fines bite - from 1500 to 5000 czk (70-200 $)
Subway trains are spacious and modern.
Entry to the car is carried out only after pressing a special button that is on each door of the subway car. The same system of opening doors in other modes of transport in Prague.
This photo captures the largest number of people at the subway station. For three days of our trips by subway at different times, the number of passengers was small.
Simple and tasteful, so you can describe the design of subway stations in a few words.
Every 3 minutes a new train approaches. All information on the luminous scoreboard.
Escalators at some stations will take you directly to the sidewalk.
