Higher Education is the center of education, development and dissemination of science, technology and art that the implementation of its activities berdeng Tri Dharma Higher Education that is: explore science, do research, and do the devotion to the community.

As a very potential and strategic human resources, students are required to be more sensitive and play an active role in facing various balance around it.

Humans are social beings, thus students as human beings can not live alone, students are in a group called society.
It is a fact that every member in a society is not in the same situation or situation, often the situation occurs not on the basis of self-will. Therefore it becomes the obligation of other community members to help others who are not in a favorable state.

In order to foster this sense of social solidarity, universities form the organizational unit of the Indonesian Red Cross Volunteer Corps (KSR-PMI). This container is intended to prepare the drill force that is in a state of standby. With sincere pleasure and sincerity at all times provide themselves to provide assistance and help in accordance with its ability for fellow people in need.

KSR is the spearhead of PMI in the field. KSR PMI is a unit or unit within the PMI association that consists of members of the PMI's ordinary members who declare themselves to be PMI KSR, who have received special training on KSR.

A KSR member must always be conscious to serve for humanitarian tasks in realizing the role of PMI by making efforts to complete the task perfectly.

The establishment of KSR members is done through education in order to obtain the capabilities required in humanitarian tasks.
