Yesterday’s Lunch Date! Food Porn Included
Yesterday my sweetheart Jason and I decided to go have a quick bite at the beach before he had to leave to work. The sun was out and although the air was cool, it still was beautiful enough to go eat at the beach a couple of blocks down.
Although the menu at the Brigantine is small, the food is delicious and served in perfect amounts! The firecracker wings were nothing to write home about but the melted cheese dip for the chips and sliders were amazing!
Of course I had to order the Brussels sprouts! I order Brussels sprouts wherever I go it seems. Their version was flash fried as they usually are always here in San Diego, but they had diced pancetta, Spanish chorizo, balsamic glaze and caramalized brown sugar giving them an unexpected yet yummy sweetness. They topped them with blue cheese which I really enjoyed.
With full tummies we went home and got ready to head out for the evening.

I haven't had Brussels sprouts in forever. Oma used to boil them ☹️ Fried covered in cheese sounds delicious, I love blue cheese.

Love that we're both on team "obsessed with Brussels sprouts." While I'm not a big blue cheese fan (ok, I can't stand it!) the sprouts look delish! Glad you two had some time together, and so sweet to read the love you have for your man!

He cleans up well, haha thank you :) It was nice to get out during the day, I tend to be seeing clients when the suns out and he sleeps during the day so seeing the sun together was quite nice.

Yesterday was Andalucia Day, so no work and basically just chilling with a gin tonic, a novel by Cormac McCarthy and trying to figure out a travel for next holidays (spoiler alert: I failed). Glad you had such a good meal! Makes my mouth water!
