Entry for Abandoned Shit
This house used to be whole, I remember an old couple living in it some four to five years ago. It sits on a hill just down the road from where I live. I'm unsure whether or not there was a fire, or if they just didn't keep up with the roof, but one day we were driving by and the roof had caved in. They used to have a large blue tarp covering the roof. I had assumed that they were going to come back to fix everything back up, but there it still sits. At this point, the back is nearly gone, though you can't see that from the road. You can still see the remains of the poor blue tarp...
I live in the Appalachians, right there in Southwestern Virginia. Being just a hop, skip, and barely a jump from the U.S.' poorest county, there are many abandoned homes and buildings. This is just one of two that are a ten minute walk from where I live. There's also an abandoned mansion I plan to visit, just a short hour's drive away and an abandoned brick building you could see in my Overlook post. It's always been my plan to collect pictures of these places, as some are quite majestic, and others are just sad.
Thanks for looking!
I am in the NoVA area and I think that those buildings are cool and all but I would not enter it hahahahah
lol nope. The mansion I was talking about someone else had taken pictures of, and they said you couldn't even walk past the front door. The inside and back of it was completely gone. I'd love to go in one and take pictures, however, I'm going to make sure my husband sits out in the car with a 'if I'm not back in such and such minutes...' lol
I could send my wife out there and be the one in the car waiting just in case! hahahaha JK
Hahahahahaha. I don't even know if I could convince my husband to -let- me do it. Although if I did do it, I did get my TB shot a couple of weeks ago. ;)
Such a waste they should be done up and given to the homeless 💯🐒
We don't have a lot of homeless. There's not really any money around here to fix them up anyway, we live about an hour or two away from McDowell county in WV. It's considered the poorest county in the country.
Good work! There are lots of Homeless in the UK not so much where I am as small places but the cities it increasing rapidly. Sad state of affairs, mainly due to the regime we have in power. A good option though to use abandon buildings . Instead of building more houses on the field. Which is happen on alarming rate here in the UK thousands of home being build all paper thin crap which no one can afford a big scam for property developers, while more and more become homeless as the can't afford bills!!! 💯🐒
