California Sunsets #9 - After the Rainstorms
After the rain, the sun will reappear. There is life. After the pain the joy will still be here.

We finally got the much needed rain here in Southern California. With rain, comes clouds. With clouds, come beautiful sunsets. All these photos were taken today near Lifeguard Tower 20, just sound of the Santa Monica Pier. You will also see the Malibu Mountains in the background

Wow! Those wave patterns! They are all really unique in their own way, but 3,4 and 5 really are something - I don't remember seeing anything similar before on photographs. Great work!
Yes. it was quite the anomaly... was down by the pico runoff. Happens once every few years.

Amazing. The crosscurrents in the last three photos. That is not typical at all.
Exactly. the cross-currents were banging off the various newly created sand riffs from massive run-offs into the ocean.

the third one is extra special to me. love the curves going with bright sunlight reflected on the waves. amazing. hopefully we are done with the rain now!

Beautiful click @armentor, I always love to see rainy weather and especially the beauty of nature before or after rain but cause I work in an Arab country the rain is almost finished from my life and I only can enjoy it from pictures and videos. thank you for sharing.
Having lived and visited many countries in the middle east, I somewhat understand you feelings. Our rain will stop here in a month. Thank you for your thoughts!
