It's actually a pretty cool feature of cameras. They embed this stuff called EXIF data in every photo you take. When you upload the photo, the EXIF data follows it. If you edit your photos with software like Adobe Lightroom, that will also add information.

You can scrub your data before posting. Personally, I think it's not a good idea. EXIF data adds credence to your photo since plagiarism on steem is a big deal. Photos that don't have EXIF are suspicious because it looks like someone's trying to hide copyright/ownership information.
