the bow on the water logged present

It has been a wildly wet winter compared to recent years in the SF Bay Area. Soggy is putting it mildly. We have had 'atmospheric river' after 'atmospheric river.' Some people are talking about the ski resorts up in Tahoe possibly being open through July again this year.

With the commute with the new job - BART, Caltrain, then a shuttle bus - taking as long as it does, I often look out the window when we are above ground and just see downpour. Rain as a deluge, unending, pouring out and down and around, soaking through and chilling to the bone. Rain, rain unending.

Or so it seemed.

And then on the shuttle bus, almost to work, as we dropped off people, I looked up and...there was the rainbow. That meant the rains were far from done; however, there was light. And it was peaking through. The sun, she was saying hullo.

And it was welcome.
