in #photography7 years ago (edited)

I found this pest in my village, close to my uncle's rice field, at that time I was looking at the harvest of rice that failed this year's harvest. Because the number of Leptocorisa Oratorius is on the farmland of the local community in the village where I live.

Leptocorisa Oratorius is undergoing a simple metamorphosis whose development starts from the stadia of egg, nymph and imago. Imago shaped like ladybug, lean body, antennae and limbs long enough. Body color yellow brown and long between 14 - 29 mm.

The eggs are shaped like dark red discs and placed in groups. The egg group usually consists of 11-19 eggs. Eggs are usually placed on a leaf surface near the mother's leaf bone. Laying eggs are generally done at the time of flowering. Eggs will hatch 4 - 7 days after being laid. The development from egg to imago is 24 days and one generation reaches 45 days.

Fairy. Nymph is yellowish, sometimes nymph is invisible because its color is same with leaf color. The stadium stadium of nymph 16-26 today consists of 4 instar.
