Following the total destruction Mississippi Gulf Coast by Hurricane Katrina on Aug. 29, 2005. Some of the great old oaks that had been broken by the storm where carved into pieces of art. These are along the stretch of beach from Pass Christian to Gulfport, MS.

Thanks Gold Key, There are many along the Ms Gulf Coast. It,s great that someone thought to do this with some of the trees that could not be saved. I guess the idea comes from the Totem Poles.
