Poppy in Bloom

Spring and the flowers are blooming
But my poppies still sleep
Not a bud upon them as the leaves grow beautifully
Ever so slowly the buds begin to appear
Rolling out to be on a long stem
Though the bud still does not bloom
It is all most as if it is waiting for the perfect moment
When no one is watching
For suddenly it appears
My Poppies are in full bloom
