I just wanted to share another blog about the famous rice terraces of Banaue, the shots I am showing this time are from another view deck which is also located along the road going to Bontoc.

The weather was cloudy, it was a good time to take photos of the surrounding area. What we can see above are houses along the road covered in greens. Also below are some more houses that in the middle of the mountains.

I zoomed in to take a closer look down there and here is what the terraces look like - access wise it will take a person sometime before going there, there's also a small creek and a small bridge a passage going to the other side of the mountain. I saw a man sitting nearby probably resting.

I want to retire in this kind of place, far from pollution. Fresh air, fresh fruit, and veggies all day.

My post is not complete without my wife as part of the picture, she asked for it so I will feature her again.

I think living in the middle of the terraces in an elevated area is cool, though access to basic commodities will be tough. They may only go downtown for a few times in a week.

Here is another shot of terraces, the piece of land that has rice planted on is only in a small portion but note that the rice they produce here are high class and delicious.

Here is the entire town of Banaue looks like from the overlooking view deck. The place looks tiny but when we were there, there's plenty of things going on. So many people and vehicle of all sorts, from tricycle, jeeps, motors etc.

And lastly, here is my proof of presence on this beautiful travel. I know the feeling that the person taking the shots is not always part of the frame. But please let me take this chance to have the limelight. Cheers to all and let us spread the love!

I've been by these a few times, but have never really gotten out and taken a close look at them. It's something I need to do.

Same here, I wanted to explore Batad rice terraces as they say it is the most beautiful one in Banaue as of the moment :-)
