A dedicated honey bee worker accomplishing its daily grind
Honey bees are considered to be one of the most hardworking and useful creatures in nature.
Bees not only produce honey and wax for man, but are among the main pollinators of plants and crops. I saw this one checking out a flower and making sure no pollen is left behind. It goes on all the side of the flower to make sure he did not miss a spot.
It can not carry pollen from many flowers at a time, so they will only visit 50-100 flowers before returning home. Throughout the day, repeat these flights back and forth in search of food, which produces a lot of wear on their bodies. A worker collector can live only 3 weeks. On an average day it can visit 2 thousand flowers per day.
According to data, the average life of a worker in the summer is 4 weeks, and 6 weeks in the winter.
A bee can communicate to other bees the direction and distance of a source of nectar by means of a kind of "waggle dance talk", not sure how that works but that's the kind of signaling they have.
