aw....what a sweetheart....I just told my son, whose a new dad, that I couldn't wait for him to have a nap or go to bed sometimes and when he was sleeping I'd feel guilty for feeling that way. He does too...so it was a good "bonding" parent thing.
I think the reason kids fight when it's naptime is two fold. One, they can't tell if they are tired, hungry, thirsty or bored. So they get carankee!! The other thing is that they know they are separate from you and are trying out a little independent skill even though they don't know what the heck they are doing.
I'm glad you have a hobby as an outlet. I didn't when I was a mom. I forgot to take care of me and it was not a good outcome.

What a great shot! A daytime nap is an ability you lose when becoming an adult, but it's actually quite healthy, I reckon! I cant sleep daytime at all!

You are right. It is a golden time. I can relate.
No idea why they fight it sometimes, I'd love it if someone said to me, 'go have a nap for an hour or so.'
Well, kids like to play. Hahah, i will like it more, if someone tell me to go and have a nap and get some steem when i wake up. How does it sound?

You are so right. I remember those days...they need the nap but golly they are going to fight it tooth and nail. Until they drop and you do too...
