Alone with depth

Lake of Dancing Graylings. In 2015, I dived in this lake. Interest for the sake of I dived and into that darkness that is visible in its central part. On the one hand, it was overcoming your own fear of depth, and on the other, curiosity. It is not so easy to take a deep breath and dive into the darkness, against all doubts and this primitive feeling. At some point the water became sharper and more transparent, but it did not get any lighter. In the dusk I turned on my hunting lantern to see the bottom, the beam was simply lost in the depths. Some time later, the silt bottom began to be looked through and the drowned branch of the birch tree, it was barely discernible and somewhat resembling a skeleton. The bottom slope to the center of the lake became evident, it was clearly deeper. The dive did not require any effort from my side, it was a fall. I did not want to slap into a thick layer of silt and then try to free myself from his all-embracing embrace. After bending my body, I turned to the horizontal position and slowed down, the branch approached. Once here lifeless. Looking up at the dull green sky, breathed out a bubble of air and rushed after him - to the sun.
