Union City NJ House Fire Spreads to Local Church
Original pictures of the night after a fire destroyed the a local home and the steeple of St Joseph's St Michaels church in Union City NJ.
The fire started in a local house on the same block of the church on March 4th. Within a few hours the building with two apartments and a store front was destroyed and the steeple of the local church caught fire. High winds on the order of 30-50 mph were gusting that night. As a result there was one fatality and one injury. A 2 year old died on the blaze. The child's father was seriously injured trying to get to the child in time. The church steeple was completely destroyed but the main building only suffered water damage. Pictures below are from the night after where the temperature dipped to the single digits F and ice formed everywhere as a result. The mayor Stack of Union City NJ has reached out to the affected family and has donated the funds for the affected family's funeral expenses.
