A few days ago I was in the Valdobbiadene area, in the province of Treviso.

Valdobbiadene is famous throughout the world for the production of wine, in particular prosecco!

Friends abroad: have you ever tasted it?

A friend told me well about a place near Valdobbiadene called Pianezze, so I went to visit it!

Qualche giorno fa sono stato nella zona di Valdobbiadene, nella provincia di Treviso.

Valdobbiadene è famosa in tutto il mondo per la produzione di vino, in particolare il prosecco!

Amici all'estero: l'avete mai assaggiato?

Un amico mi ha parlato bene di un posto vicino a Valdobbiadene che si chiama Pianezze, così sono andato a visitarlo!

Driving my car after passing a long series of switchbacks, I arrived in a very large square with a large parking lot, trees, a hotel and some accommodation facilities.

The place was beautiful!

Alla guida della mia auto dopo aver superato una lunga serie di tornanti, sono arrivato in un piazzale molto ampio con un grande parcheggio, alberi piante, un albergo e alcune strutture ricettive.

Il posto era bello!

A brief look at the itinerary and I immediately set off!

Un breve sguardo all'itinerario e mi sono subito incamminato!

There was a hotel restaurant where it was possible to rent a mountain bike, but I wanted to take pictures, so I went on! :)

C'era un albergo ristorante dove era possibile noleggiare una mountain bike, ma io volevo fare foto, quindi ho proseguito! :)

As written in the sign, I immediately arrived at the adventure park where some children have fun to go down a track with an inflatable dinghy.

Come scritto nel cartello , sono subito arrivato al parco avventura dove alcuni bambini si divertivano a scendere una pista con un gommone gonfiabile.

A little further on there was the real adventure trail with passages suspended on ropes, in the trees ... in summer during the tourist period, it must be full of people.

Poco più avanti c'era il vero e proprio percorso avventura con passaggi sospesi su funi, tra gli alberi...d'estate in pieno periodo turistico, deve essere pieno di gente.

I continue along a paved road but I am not sure that the road is right because there were no more signs...

Proseguo lungo una strada asfaltata ma non sono sicuro che la strada sia giusta perchè non c'erano più cartelli...

Finally I see a signal so I continue without fear.

Finalmente vedo un segnale così proseguo senza timore.

I was entering lush vegetation and the day was fantastic.

You could smell the scent of fir needles, fantastic!

Stavo entrando in una vegetazione rigogliosa e la giornata era fantastica.

Si sentiva il profumo degli aghi di abete, fantastico!

From time to time the surrounding landscape could be seen among the trees, I was climbing Mount Cesen.

Ogni tanto tra le fronde degli alberi si poteve scorgere il panorama circostante, stavo risalendo il Monte Cesen.

The thing that struck me most about this easy excursion are the monumental ash trees I saw!

I've seen a lot of them and really big ones, some with the trunk even 2 meters wide and I think 25/30 meters high!

La cosa che più mi ha colpito di questa facile escursione sono i frassini monumentali che ho visto!

Ne ho visti molti e davvero grandi, alcuni con il tronco largo anche 2 metri e credo alto 25/30 metri!

On the sides of the path there were many flowers, I photographed someone...

Ai lati del sentiero c'erano moltissimi fiori, ne ho fotografato qualcuno...

Then the path led into dense vegetation ... all green :)

Poi il sentiero portava in una fitta vegetazione...tutto verde :)

I have met many summer homes, of course, all closed.
The owners are lucky, these are nice places to relax and maybe eat a barbecue with friends!

Ho incontrato molte abitazioni estive, naturalmente tutte chiuse.
SOno fortunati i proprietari, questi sono beiu posti per rilassarsi e magari mangiare una grigliata di carne con gli amici!

Here is another ash! Really impressive.
At that moment I hadn't thought of taking a self shot to show you the dimensions it had.

Ecco un altro frassino! Davvero imponente.
In quel momento non avevo pensato di fare un auto scatto per mostrarvi le dimensioni che aveva.

After contemplating that wonder of nature, I headed for a small house, from there there was a beautiful view!

Dopo aver contemplato quella meraviglia della natura, mi sono diretto verso una piccola casetta, da lì c'era un bel panorama!

There was just a beautiful view!
At sunset time it must be gorgeous!

C'era proprio un bel panorama!
All'ora del tramonto deve essere stupendo!

Then I continued along the route.
I had left in the afternoon, I didn't have much time!

In a shaded area I even saw some beautiful white columbine flowers.

Poi ho proseguito lungo l'itinerario.
Ero partito di pomeriggio, non avevo molto tempo!

In una zona d'ombra ho perfino visto dei bellissimi fiori di aquilegia bianca.

In a stretch of path there were a group of houses surrounded by centuries-old ash trees!
What majesty they were!

In un tratto di sentiero c'erano un gruppo di case circondate da frassini secolari!
Che maestosi che erano!

The path then led out of the woods and I was able to appreciate the north-eastern slope of the mountain.

Il percorso poi portava fuori dal bosco e ho potuto apprezzare il versante nord est del monte.

Looking carefully I saw and photographed the line of an abandoned ski slope!

Guardando con attenzione ho visto e fotografato la linea di una abbandonata pista da sci!

When there were a couple of kilometers to go, the path allowed a nice view towards the plain and the Piave river.

Quando mancavano un paio di chilometri all'arrivo, il sentiero ha permesso una bella panoramica verso la pianura e il fiume piave.

A row of firs bordered the dirt road and I enjoyed the last steps of that beautiful afternoon.

Un filare di abeti costeggiava la stradina sterrata e io mi godevo gli ultimi passi di quel bel pomeriggio.

My peace and tranquility was then replaced by amazement and wonder when I passed by a giant ash tree!

The photos don't make the idea, it was incredible!

La mia pace e tranquillità poi è stata rimpiazzata da stupore e meraviglia quando sono passato a fianco a un frassino gigante!

Le foto non rendono l'idea, era incredibile!

The trunk was almost 2 meters wide and it was very high!

Il tronco era quasi largo 2 metri ed era altissimo!

Who knows how old that tree is and how many things it will have seen!
That too was a war zone...

Chissà quanti anni ha quell'albero e quante cose avrà visto!
Anche quella è stata una zona di guerra...

After greeting the ash tree, I continued along my road which was paved in the last stretch.

ITA

Dopo aver salutato il frassino, ho continuato lungo la mia strada che nell'ultimo tratto era asfaltata.

After a natural tunnel made of branches I came to the parking lot.
I was satisfied and relaxed...

Dopo un tunnel natural fatto di rami sono giunto al parcheggio.
Ero soddisfatto e rilassato...

...but I was thirsty! :D

It was time for a cold beer !! :D

...ma avevo sete! :D

Era arrivato il momento di una birra fresca!! :D

While I was drinking beer, the owner of the beer, a kind Sardinian lady, advised me to go and see a sculpture that was there nearby...

Mentre bevevo la birra, la proprietaria della birra, una gentile signora sarda mi ha consigliato di andare a vedere una scultura che c'era li vicino...

Here it is, it represents the hunt.

I don't like hunting, on the contrary I hate it, but many years ago, for the survival of the inhabitants of that place, hunting was very useful.

Unfortunately some idiot put a branch in the man's hand...

Eccola, rappresenta la caccia.

A me non piace la caccia, anzi la odio, però molti anni fa, per la sopravvivenza degli abitanti di quel luogo, la caccia era molto utile.

Purtroppo qualche idiota ha messo un ramo nella mano dell'uomo...

After greeting the owner of the restaurant, I took two steps to take a last photo of the panorama...

Dopo aver salutato la proprietaria della trattoria, ho fatto due passi per fare un'ultima foto al panorama...
