Those two are my favorites:

You have captured street life very well. How did you manage to remain so undiscovered while photographing?
The man in the restaurant is really a very successful picture. His facial expression - you don't know, is he thoughtful or in a bad mood? One wonders who he is and what he does. The other picture I like because of the strong colours and the colour repetition of rain protection and the blue sky over the palm tree, while it all reflects into the wet ground.

Nice choice, Erika, and good analysis! How to be invisible while photographing streets - it's something everyone wants to know haha, but basically you dress casual, smile, use a smaller camera instead of big DSLR and try to not overstay your welcome. :)

I went to the hairdresser this morning and next to me there was a lady talking about her summer trip. Destination: Belgrade! It reminded of you and your beautiful artwork @alcibiades 😊

Out of today's selection the last one is my very favourite one! Although, photo 6 depicts exactly what you said in your introduction, someone unprepared for the unpredictable weather! :)

😘 ❤

Abigail, what a nice surprise to see you here! Does that mean you are planning a return? :) I hope the lady will have a nice time visiting Belgrade. Summers are hot but I'm sure she'll still enjoy it. 😊

The next few days weather was much worse as you'll see in the next couple of posts. At one point we got stuck in a broken tram for almost an hour and couldn't get out because it was pouring like crazy lol.

Anyways, nice to see you back!

It does mean I am planning a return indeed Alcibiades 😊 I have missed being active in the community very much.

Looking forward to your upcoming posts then!
Have a great weekend :)

Hey Abi, long time no see! I read some of your recent comments and hear that you plan to blog again. You've been away for months, how have you been?

Hello Erika 😃

It is wonderful to hear from you :) You are right! I have been away for longer than I initially planned. But, the summer is here bringing with it my spare time. So, everything is wonderful. Thank you for asking. My family are arriving for a nearly two-week visit in the following weekend, I have completed a major project, and have a new hair cut! :D

What about you?

It was interesting to read your views on order and disorder, by the way 😊 What you said about your mum reminds me very much of my mother-in-law. It made me smile!

Much love to you from windy Portugal.

Well, that's a really happy prospect when your family visits you for two weeks. How is the summer in Portugal? Isn't it already really hot there? You have a new haircut? Does that mean anything? LOL.

With me everything is as it was. Really big changes are not in sight. Which is completely okay, because I have my life quite comfortably furnished. Except that my son now with 14 brings some excitement and I will certainly have a lot of fun with him ;-)

I would like to talk a bit more about systemics in my work and to communicate the form of "systemic consensus" to my colleagues. I recently indicated this to my boss and who knows, maybe there is a need. That would loosen up my daily work a bit.

Oh, and: I take private singing lessons! I wanted to treat myself to that. I now had a trial lesson and will certainly find it exciting to train my voice and learn to sing songs.

edit: is your mother in law also a messy type of person? It's interesting to browse those homes, I find. A friend of mine is the opposite of mine but she once told me that she feels cozy at my home and wouldn't want it otherwise. But sometimes she acts as a mom and it indeed happened that she drove with one finger over a picture frame and said to the dust: "Ts, ts, ts ..."

Hey Erika :)

The summer in Portugal (Lisbon area) is filled with beautiful people from all over the world, and also really, really HOT! And, you get it ... my new haircut means I have time for myself again 😉

It is wonderful to hear everything is fine with you, and that you are excited about the fun you will have with your son in the forthcoming years. I am sure he is a lovely boy. Also, I will keep my fingers crossed for you to have the feedback you expect from your boss :) Good luck there!

Singing lessons! Ohhh 😍 I remember from an old post of yours, which featured a voice recording, that you have a very pleasant voice Erika. Singing must suit you very well.

My mother-in-law is the messiest person I know! 😃 The part of her home I like the most is the kitchen. It is cluttered with delicious temptations. You think she is always about to receive 10 guests! 😅

I was once in Portugal and almost melted away from the heat. It was in July and we were at a wedding party. It was a tiny village somewhere in a nowhere.

HaHa! I really would like to see your mother-in-law's kitchen and get something to eat there. Portugal and Spain remind me of my childhood. Loud refrigerators and fans running all day in dark and cool kitchens.

My first singing experience went well. I am so excited to get the first real lesson. I think I will work with that woman.

Have a great Summer, Abi!

Great photos @alcibiades and you are right, the weather in Belgrade is changeable now!

@alcibiades You have received a 100% upvote from @intro.bot because this post did not use any bidbots and you have not used bidbots in the last 30 days!
