Jambo! In Tarangire we went for an early morning game drive, where we saw lions and leopards that we wouldn’t otherwise see midday.

During our drive to Magara we witnessed a young female lion practicing her hunting on a herd of zebras. She didn’t catch anything, but the attempt was half-hearted since her belly was already full, and she is still learning how to catch prey.

Once we got to Magara, we saw a beautiful waterfall that we all swam in and greatly enjoyed. We didn’t take many pictures of the waterfall because we were too excited to just spend as much time swimming as we could.

While driving to Magara campsite, we stopped to view a hollowed-out Baobab tree which we could all fit in, since the baobab trees are some of the oldest in all of Tanzania. The tree used to be used by poachers who would hide inside and seek out wildlife to kill. The tree still has pegs in the walls that they used to climb to the top. No poachers are there anymore, though—just some sleeping bats.
